Our company uses the term "development" to describe the creation and implementation of the all the juicy programming that makes the website work.  Generally, this is the programming required to customize the Content Management System and the e-commerce shopping carts.  For the most part, this takes place after ample discussion with the client about the needs for their respective business and end users.

Our team has streamlined our process to make this period as short as possible and to effectively implement & integrate all necessary components of the site.  Depending on the size of the project, our turn around time for development is generally under two weeks.
